Exhaust Position Confirmed

Wonder if any one has any knowledge of this.

I could, until last week, enter my dash menu and be able to read my DPF %, also when the DPF reached 95%, I could force a manual regen. This was fab and worked fine….

However now when I enter the dash menu to read the % DPF. I get the message Exhaust Position Confirmed.

I cannot escape out of that message by using the back button on the menu, it stays there till I switch the engine off.

There is no error codes or messages on the dash, I wouldn’t have noticed this aside from being able to check my DPF status and enabled to force a static DPF regen.

1999, Ford Transit Custom, MK8 eco blue engine. 91k on the clock.

you must have mis- quoted that

as when i put that phrase into google nothing comes up with the exact wording as - "exhaust position confirmed"

so cant really chase your problem

you'll have to plug it into a diagnostic code reader , preferably forscan and get the codes.


to escape from it disconnect battery for 15 mins
