Upgrading standard rear lights on 2024 custom

How easy is it to fit the LED rear lights on standard lights model, is there some extra wiring required ?

It seems crazy to me that they still fit the old incandescent lamps on any production vehicle these days. I have looked at the availability of OEM LED clusters, e.g. search eBay for "Transit Custom 2025 LED rear light clusters". I guess that if they are really OEM, they will be street legal. I have seen third-party LED clusters that state in the small print they should only be used on private roads, that being because they are not type-approved. For a wider sweep, search "Transit Custom 2025 LED lights".

As for ease of installation, I assume it will be 'plug-and-play' for a replacement cluster but there may be members with practical experience. There's always the option to buy individual replacements for each incandescent lamp - for example the reversing light doesn't seem as bright as my Mk7, 16 watts capless against 21 watts bayonet, and the lens on the Mk7 is clear plastic, not frosted.

Strictly speaking, anything other than OEM will not meet 'construction and use' regulations. Here is a paragraph from the Halfords website:

"Retrofitting is when you replace a standard bulb with an LED version. At the moment, it’s completely road legal for you to replace an internal bulb with an LED bulb. However, there’s no legislation to cover retrofitting external facing light sources and therefore LED exterior bulbs in this instance are not road legal."

Cant be done
I bought i light and the connector is completely different.
I think one of the van part websites like van x are selling a 3rd party led cluster now..
