1999 MK5 Smiley Transit LWB with rare tailgate 190D 2.5L DI for sale (spares or repair). Location East Devon MOT until 10/03/24 R899 DKO

With regret I’m probably going to have to let go of my beloved smiley. Was my daily drive until just over a year ago when a timing problem damaged the camshaft keyway. I swapped out the (banana) engine, but in the meantime bought a mk6, which I now mainly use instead. Welding has been kept up when necessary, but it may well be time for someone else to take over - you can see what needs doing welding wise from the MOT fail sheet. The replacement engine runs fine and EGR was sticky on the test (hence rough running on the day). I have the whole original engine and some other spares to bundle with it. 2 (decent) tyres were new last year, so just a few hundred miles, and the others the previous MOT, so also excellent (depending on offers I may sell these separately instead)
I don’t really want to let it go, so please let me have your enquiries and reasonable offers in the current (‘legal’) drive away condition and I can decide on whether it’s better just to plough on myself, break for parts or whatever instead.

I don't think that's a 190 unless it's had the axles swapped for the light duty ones.
If you look at the top right of the passenger step vin plate it'll say the model, Probably a 100L

As keef says it will be a 100L

But that is a VERY rare variant of van (LWB Low with a tailgate) and it would be a real shame to scrap it
