Mk6 Dual Fuel- MWB/MR 350

Postby Rowdey » Sun Apr 11, 2021 5:11 pm

Time to sell my trusted Mk6 2.3 dual fuel - Had her nearly 15 years, but ULEZ has made me jump to a MK8.. and already i'm fed up with the DPF making me drive long journeys when i dont need too..!
2003 MWB-MR 350 in Medium steel blue - Loads of history from new right up to now (and Ford up to 165k)
Factory Ford/Necam Coltec regularly serviced and looked after by Edward at Mobile LPG who knows these LPG systems better than anyone. He also fitted the extra 90l tank in rear.
Used every day as a reliable work van up till recently. I only do around 4000 miles year in London. Now has 225k miles on clock.
Recon engine, exhaust inlet manifold, coils, leads etc 13k miles ago (fitted 2017)
Recent new parts: 3 part clutch & master cylinder 11/20, New Starter motor 10/20, New alternator 11/16, new exhaust 2016
Extra's over standard - Tinted & Heated front screen, elec mirrors, reverse camera, electric windows, 7 speed int wipers, 3 bar Rhino rack, rear door ladder, and false floor.
Body work - generally pretty good, but its 2003 London van, so expect some battle scars and bit of rust eh, drivers step rubber coming off, OS sill, rear ladder clunked a lamp-post and rear inner arches want tidying/welding up (but not MOT failure as body only)
Comes with 1/2 tank of unleaded, and approx 150 miles of LPG
MOT till 21st December 2021
Collection from SE24 South London - £1500 ONO. Message me for more info/pics

the vin plate (well sticker) inside the passenger door shut...

Would be interested to know the 2 bigger numbers (Max Gross Weight, Max Train weight) but max trailer weight (should) also be shown on V5C

The two Mk6 350 RWD vans that I've driven, were both around 5500kg train weight, but I never saw the V5 to see the trailer weight, but given the above, it would be at least 2000kg.

Those were both diesels, I have no idea if the petrol engine makes a difference :?
1997 Mk5 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (Gone, but not forgotten!)
2004 Mk6 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.0 TDDi - Vantunered (Also gone)
2008 Mk7 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.2 TDCi - Also Vantunered

Exactly what I am trying to see...

E.g. Train weight for Mk5 190s is 5500kg, unless its petrol (5300kg) or auto (3500kg) - so I'm interested to see what difference being a petrol/LPG makes

The 4 given weights are:
3500 (GVW?)
5500 (train weight of van and trailer?)
1550 (front axle weight?)
2250 (rear axle weight?)

Errmm ummm.... well I have run out of space to keep them now. 6 smileys, 2 land rovers, a morris minor, the trailer (has a land rover on top) and shortly the sprite at my workshop - so have to consider what I would do with it and why I need it to justify getting somewhere else to keep it  To get anything out I have to move the other stuff around
