Hallmark project

Postby AndyG.uk » Sun Oct 02, 2022 11:59 am

Good caring home needed for my loved 1995 Hallmark camper. Looking to sell to somebody who wants a worthy project. It needs welding for the MOT (no surprises). I've stayed on top of it getting the van through MOTs for the last 11 years, keeping her looking tidy. Now that this rare anniversary edition approaches its 30 year milestone, the MOT fail is too much for my budget, and the welding needs to be done properly! No more ad-hoc repairs. The old girl deserves better!! Bodywork, interior, engine all in good order. When the kids were smaller, we used to sleep and travel with 5 (all forward facing seats with 3-point belts). It's self sufficient too, with shower, toilet, cooker, fridge - a professional conversion, fitted with a Sheldon aftermarket hightop, with a record of the conversion featuring as a two page article in the Motorhomes Magazine from December 1997. The article is linked here: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AhnvPMozhL8YibFebPk ... w?e=WkOHau A current photo is attached. It's been sprayed at least twice. The original colour was silver-blue which can still be seen in places. The logbook, the special edition features, the magazine article, all confirm it as a genuine Hallmark - the rear badge is still there too. I'm open to sensible offers.

Its a shame it was converted really! But - vans have lives and its all part of the colourful tapastry! Being a Hallmark it definately deserves to be saved - in 3 years it will be 60 years of Transit - so this will be the halfway point!

Ford made 600* Hallmarks, 200 in white, 200 In azure (what your one was based on your description) and 200 in Dark Blue (close to what it is now)

* It was actually significantly less, but nobody really knows how many there were as most were seemingly sent to dealers as "normal" vans.

(P.S. I already have a Hallmark that needs saving  )

Is that a very pale silvery blue?

Ford used to have (maybe still have) a Hallmark in that colour in their collection in East London IIRC.

There’s a low mileage original one in that colour in the heritage collection I believe.
