Much loved van owned since 2016, as evident on this forum during its early days, much work was done at the time including a complete rebuild of engine which has done about 20 000 miles since. In fact everything is perfect including suspension, Brakes, etc. It failed last MOT for rusty sills. The body has about 160000 miles on the clock. The MOT guy did not show mercy! For someone who can weld, it is not a big job at all. Mechanically, as the MOT man said, is excellent! So it can be a good work horse foe many more years if needed. The repair panels all round is about £300 (Ebay prices).
Not asking for a fortune, but make a sensible offer, even if it is wanted for its engine/ gearbox. I rather it is back on the road than ending up in scrap yard.
Having owned Transit, Mercedes and VW Vans since 2016, I can confidently say that Transits are the best: economically, mechanically and esthetically, the best reliable workhorse there is. And, I am too old for all this now!
If and when making an offer, please consider the price for a second hand good engine to get you back on the road.
It is currently in Bournemouth.
I will post some photos in the near future.
