looking for a mk 4 or mk 5, diesel, short wheel based , with power stearing (it's for the wife) condition not to much of a prop, as long as it runs, drives, and is complete, or near enough, lol, so a fix up will be ok, budget is low, but thought I would ask to see if anyone has anything,

 it has taken me years to convince my wife to have an old transit, now she has agreed wont to get one quick, her car drinks more petrol in a day than I use a week in diesel,

How about viewtopic.php?f=7&t=131334

Or I think I'm going to have to sell my MK3 120swb Semi high Di.
MOT ran out last week, small fuel strarvation problem atm, hand painted and ratty but pretty solid and only £350 (but no power steering)

thanks for the answer. I did see that one before I posted , but unsure what would be involved with getting it legal in this country again.

When I enquired at DVLA they said get it MOT'd, insure it using chassis number then go to local DVLA office and apply for tax disc & registration.

They said it might cost £55 if they give it a new reg number but free if it keeps the old one.

Good man, that looks alright for the money.
Supprised the export boys weren't all over it at that price.

was really amazed myself that I won it, went down to hastings to collect it last Tuesday, pulled it all the way home on a draw bar with my old mk4, no mot or tax so could not drive it back,
had a laugh on the way back as the A21 came from the roundabout into a duel carriage way and an impatient driver in a mk7 swung out to pass, it was an uphill from the roundabout, I put my foot down and had to laugh as the mk7 struggled to pass me while toeing another van, thought they were meant to be good, lol but could have just been a useless driver.

the van it's self is not to bad, for the mot I have found it needs a small bit of welding by the rear o/s bump stop, not holed and would probably pass, but will weld it up anyways,
it also needs a front side light bulb and a rear n/s light cluster lens.
all in all a very good buy, well happy with it. :D :D :D

have removed the rear bulkhead as not needed.. it's on e.bay at the mo.
