Ok, I am looking at possibly building a trailer using a transit to match my van project.

Not sure if the Mk4 or Mk5 came with the twin rear wheel and if so whether like the Mk3 the rear axle was further forward.

Either way I need a van...

a) with the rear axle further forward, and it must be LWB medium roof.
b) that is beyond reasonable repair but has fairly solid bodywork (I don't really want to cut up a decent van).
c) not a minibus i.e. I need solid panels not windows.
d) ideally with some MOT as would prefer to drive it to the yard where it can be converted.
e) that is reasonably priced.

Am in no mad rush so PM me what you have.

I did look at alternative trailers but think this will be the best option and hopefully give an old van destined for the crusher a new lease of life in some way. Sorry I know some people won't be keen on this idea but there are still enough of them about rotting away in yards.

Actually a Mk4 or a Mk5 would be ok, just thinking about it even a Mk3 six wheeler rear axle would need the arches modified for what I want so one of these would be ok.

Again drop me a PM with what you have.

One final thing, the key element is the sides and roof I am not bothered if the chassis is shot with rust as it is just the body shape we really need.
