transit mk7

Postby anthony81 » Wed May 27, 2015 9:34 pm

Hi, Im looking for a transit mk7 swb low roof white van . Will have funds available around middle of next month, maybe sooner depending on price. I want the van to be as cheap as possible so not to bothered with condition etc . Can you let me know what you've got available please. Idealy I want to spend £1300-£1800 tops for a running van. I would be interested in vans that don't run etc if the price is right in fixing them up. I know the budget is small so bare with me please as Im just returning to work after several years off due to illness hence why im poor, lol

text me on 07859864673 please so I don't wake my 2 little boys . I will respond, cheers

cheers
ant

Might be worth trying gumtree, vans are cheaper on there than ebay so you might find a bargain

Copuld be a nice van if tidied up. Thinking this sounds like it needs a new engine??? Whats it costing to replace engine sin the transits now adays. Used to have some mk5 a few year back and it was about £700 for a second engine and fitting back then where I live. Is it similar money today??

I doubt its that cheap, there's a lot more electronics on the mk7. Realistically, you're going to struggle to find a mk7 under 2K in any reasonable condition or one that wont need fixing, engine or otherwise. The oldest mk7 is 9 years old but they seem to be holding their price. Would you not consider a mk6?

Been offered a couple of mk7.
1 is a 2006 £1850 122k
1 is 2007 £2000 160k

both are maintained pretty well aswell so ive been told and both run without any problems

Will be trying to barter to see how low I can get them or fingers crossed I find one even cheaper

totally wasted day. Thought id found a bargain at £2300. 125k on the clock, full years mot, new tyres, fully serviced etc. Drove 90 miles with every penny ive got and the seller forgot to mention the engine management light was on, odd colour painted wings, fuel flap ripped off, bonnet wouldn't open, central locking wasn't working. The list goes on and on so after 180 round trip im a little fed up. Will keep hunting
