mk1 transit camper

Postby 68corsair » Wed Sep 09, 2009 6:02 pm

Hello everybody.I just joined the forum & I'm looking for a mk 1 camper not the high top type but the pop top style with the hammock beds in the roof, ideally with the original V4 but a V6 would be OK & a current mot would be nice.I'm a complete transit virgin if I'm allowed to call it that so I don't know what sort of money they fetch ( less than £2000 would be good, laugh at me if i'm being optimistic here! )but i'm no stranger to the welder so if it needs a bit of work ( but not too much ) thats OK.The nearer to Colchester in Essex the better but I don't mind travelling if the right one crops up .Any advice from all you people out in transit land about prices/what to go for etc would be much appreciated.I leave myself in your expert hands.

Cheers Keith.
