mk2 transit with decent single rear axle

any mk2 transit that has a decent single rear axle, doesnt matter on the condition of the rest of the van. need too many parts for the rear so decided to just get a whole new rear axle.
live in somerset and im willing to travel.

Have you tried a scrappie, or considered fitting a Mk3? The Mk3 thing works for the twinwheelers. a second hand axle is usually about £100 conmplete

Just an idea, but worth a thought, out paint shop had a Mk3 SWB high top 'abandoned' on them. It was a few weeks ago and he wanted too much for it without papers, but I will call him again and ask if his price has gone down! It's also a good diesel engine so selling the engine on would finance the deal, or you could swap over the axles, nock it out again!! :lol:
