ALLOY WHEEL ADAPTERS
by lpg_motors » Wed Feb 24, 2010 10:14 pm

I'm thinking of having another batch of Alloy Wheel Adapters made by a local engineering shop.

If you would be interested in a pair or a set of four let me know as they have a minimum run they will produce.

I'm sure they worked out about £150 for four last time, this was cost price, no profits involved.

The previous set had a PCD of 120mm this covers BMW, newer Range Rover and Discovery wheels giving easy cheap access to 16" to 19" alloys. If enough people were interested other PCDs could be machined. I can't find the thread for the last lot that were made, I'm sure there were pictures of Transits fitted with them.

Think I've just found it:-

It was found on my previous name that I can't seem to sign in as now!! hence the new nom de plume

There would have to be at least six people wanting a specific PCD before they could be manufactured.

Here too.

How many would need to be ordered before they could reduce the price?

The previous lot of six sets cost £150 for four, this was for a single PCD of 120 mm, I would need a minimum of this again, to obtain a cheaper price it would probably need to be 12 sets.

Would be interested in 2 sets :)

What sort of lead time are we talking ?

Also interested in a previously asked question about the speed rating of these adaptors (as I have a Tourneo minibus thats used on motorways and the other van im buying for runs a 230bhp V6) - although im thinking that that more depends on the cap bolts used to tie the spacers to hubs/drums ?

Looking at using 12.9 Cap heads tho - should be fine @ 70mph :)

What thickness are these spacers ?
