Hi I am looking for a replacement pump for my 1996 auto A/C 2.5L Turbo Diesel in Australia. Numbers off the pump below. Let me know if what you have suits and is it a simple bolt off/bolt on job?

I am in the UAE for work and friend who is looking aftre the Van said there was a fuel leak from the pump. He took it to Diesel specialist and they said it needed to be rebuilt. I ma not sure where it is leaking from but am home for 10 days next week so will see for myself. It also hunts" at idle which i was told is that the "weights" have worn also. Can the pump be simply replaced with another? i have read some blogs that say it needs to be programmed by Ford when i replacement pump is fitted. So i am a bit confused by it all. david

The EPIC doesn't need to be coded to the ECU, unlike the later systems but the pump does need to be similar to the original

The epic pump I have will fit yours with no need for any other modifications it's simply a case of un bolting and changing over however the pump is very heavy and will be expensive to ship to you
If you still want the pump I can talk you through the change over from start to finish. It's really simple to change but the timing must be cock on to avoid a fault being recorded and the van dropping into limp mode.....

I have a friend who lives in Guildford so should be ok to send the pump to him.
I will then work out how to get it back to Australia.
Couple of Questions. Has the pump been rebuilt that you know of? As i have to get a mechanic to fit it (me being in UAE) don't want to go through the process again if this one starts to leak or other issues or how many miles/kms has this one done. Mine lasted 265000kms so i think that was pretty good. I am keen to get it.

Hi this pump has not been rebuilt but it has no leaks and is from a van that has done only 98000 miles or 155000km pay pal is fine there would be a small amount of postage to go on to the sale price as the pump is very heavy..... The change over is very simple however a garage will charge you a fortune... Really consider doing it yourself.... If your van was here I would do it for you.....

I will also get the address for postage to my friend in Guidford as to Perth will be a fortune seeing it weights a ton. Will work out how to get it to Perth once it is at my friends house. Got the pump it is at my friends place in Guildford.
Just have to get it back to Australia now...
Can you email me the instructions on how to install especially the bits about lining up the timing so it does not go into limp home mode.
I have a mechanic friend linded up to do the swap.
