chrome side step/bars

Postby Transit 04 » Sat Aug 21, 2010 5:09 pm

i have a brand new pair of chrome side steps or bars of a ford ranger with the brackets they have never been used and still have the blue protective cover on them they would fit on a transit swb as i have measured them up, i no longer want them and they are taking up space in the garage. i would like £70 for them but if you make me a sensible offer we could sort a deal out. i am not going to post them as it would cost to much however i am going to transitmania so someone could collect them from there or in the surrey area if anyone is intrested just pm me thanks.

:D Sounds like that could be good...... How do they attach to the van though? I have fitted side steps to the Mk1 Shogun I had and have now fitted some to My Ford Maverick, but both sets have "clamped" to the seperate chassis... so just curious on how they would attach to the Transits Non seperate monocoque chassis :D
Would love to fit some chrome steps to my Black Mk3 Transit... Black and Chrome always looks good :D

The brackets look like they would screw into the ranger but I don't know as I haven't seen how they mount on. The only way I could see how you would put the bars on a transit is to either weld the bracket or make a thred underneath th van and get sum security screws so no bugger nicks them. I also forgot to mention I do not have any screws for the brackets but these are easily available from anywhere. And black and chrome does look good :)
