hydraulic clutch

Hellloooo everyone!!!!!!!! newbie here just discovered the site

mate of mine has had me doin some work on a 2002ish transit rwd hes havin problems with the clutch basically no pedal you'd think it needs bled take slave cylinder out of bellhousing and give it a few pumps by hand and its great for a few days

so.......... how do you blled them as theres no nipple or is it just one of the cylinders thats buggered

My money would be on the master cylinder being faulty, it's casued a few problems over the years.

By the sounds of it, you have the original design slave cylinder which looks like it can't be bled.

Near where the flexy pipe attaches to the slave cyl, there should be a rubber cap on what looks like a small plastic pipe.

The flexy pipe has a small steel clip holding it in place, this clip has two positions of fittment, as does the flexy pipe.

with the cylinder fitted to the transmission, pull the steel clip out to the FIRST position.....not all the way out!
Now pull on the flexy pipe as if your trying to pull it out, the pipe will move back against the clip, the fluid will now be able to exit via the plastic pipe i mentioned earlier.

refit the pipe between pumps of the pedal as if you were bleeding anthing else
