i wanted to do this but spoke to transit geoff

who said this::

i tried once to intercool an epic system turbo di with no luck we fitted a custom built intercooler plumbed it all in nice drove it pulled well,BUT as soon as you try to level out the speed the engine started hunting like mad,i had a local turbo expert on it who had diagrams from Ford, he put restrictors of some kind into the vacuum line i think but he couldnt stop it hunting so in the end we gave up and put it back to standard

but talking to nighthawk he thinks a intercooler off of a 3512 daily should do the job with custom pipework :) or a duratorq should do it
heres what nighthawk said::

a duratorq item should have enough flow capacity for the 2.5 and is about the same physical size.

Both items have easy pipework arrangements too. The main differences to consider are the fixing points, the Transit cooler uses 4 bolts in the top of it and the daily item has brackets which attach to the sides of the cooler.

Horses for courses really.

He doesn't really give any details but I think he already has a 115 ps intercooled engine (well in another post he says it is anyway), so maybe he's having problems and wants to check something.
