Looking at where the adapter plate bolts to the V6, looks the same size as the cars bellhousing, I would be tempted to use the 2.9 XR4x4 flywheel and starter.

I found out, the clutch on the XR4x4 is the same size as the Di's, in fact I know of one 24v powered car using a turbo diesel's clutch

Yup, I'm also fairly sure the MT's drive plate fits the T9 'box, because I'm sure he told me he is using it in a Mk2 Escort!

Hi guys,I Have a 2.9 V6 L reg i think mk iv Transit Minibus,,Its like an Extra long Wheelbase,As it was i think a 15 Seater,,it Belonged to the Sultan of Brunei,As i tapped in the Reg L999WEL !!,and several Fords came up,Mindeos and Transits with the WEL Letters,,,any way,,I need a Gearbox i think,,as it Screams in all but 4th and Reverse,,its a 5 speed box,,Seems Very low geared,it also Seems as if some sort of EGR has been Disconnected,as there are things under there that Arent hooked up,and it runs a bit odd at times,i think because its been tampered with, but i cant seem to contact the two Subsequent owners,,the other thing i need,is a 16 inch spare wheel,With 225 Tyres on

a normal transit diesel MT75 will fit - the only difference is the ratios inside :D

Are you sure its 16" wheels Terry - they were not fitted to transits of that age!

The standard ones were 6J x 15" with 6 wheel studs and 225/70/15c tyres
