Brake Load sensing valve

Postby sparkieno1 » Mon Jan 14, 2013 1:22 pm

My brakes have been locking up under normal braking with no load in the back. The seem to lock up very easily. Could it be the brake load sensing valve? I've recently checked all brakes and everything else seems ok, although i am planning on renewing the fluid.

Thanks

That can be dangerous :!:

If your van has ABS, then you may have a faulty ABS Pump :?:

If it does not have ABS, then your van is equiped with a LSV.

Check to make sure the LSV is not seized up. If it has seized up, see if it can be freed up.

I normally use Copper slip on them to keep then nice & free, as WD40 tends to wash off after a while.

It sure can. It caused me to bump into the back of another car the other day when they braked suddenly in front of me. Luckily i was only doing maybe 15mph and there was no damage done.

Sorry i should have said i dont have abs. I will check it out the lsv in the morning

Thanks
