My van looks like its been through a drive by shooting and i must say these pics dont do it justice .It is an excellent van and the rust runs were from a cheap roof rack system when i first got it. Hell of a lot of dints though.Van is looking excellent now as i have it in good hands with a top quality sprayer. The van is in the process of having a pearl spray job,hes had it a month.Going to colour code what looks suitable.

Also can anyone agree or disagree that it is wise to sandblast it underneath so i can make sure on the welding needed before double waxoiling. ive checked underneath with the welder and we rebuilt across the back section below doors but everything else was solid. should i sandblast ?Sprayers also steaming the engine .

Looking for round light kit for front lights and nice alloys for it.And side skirts of some style that would fit.

Biggest problem with making transits mint is the dints on the big panels

Alex the sprayer has finally got round to taking the first panel on after all the prepping and sanding and filling hes been doing etc.He swears by finishing one panel at a time or else you can get lost with it being a transit. Here hes giving it epoxy primer wich he admitted was very thick and will stop rust complete and then guide coats that help him along the way.Once this slow dries hes going to be prepping it again can you believe and keeps redoing the same panels.Putting a lot of work and time into it i must say.Paint was well expensive. His old purple pickup hes using for his business has had 8 coats and rubdowns .Its like glass and ongoing.Gonna be one sweet brand new classic

The finished colour is New 2006-7 VW Beetle new shape Gecko Green Pearl.

Guide coats showing through (looks quite funky with undercoats like an army van camouflage)

not being funny but .... why oh why dont people strip vans/cars properly before spraying

ie: the rubber bug on the rear door hinge, the black rear plastic vent that un clips, the front window surround that pulls off , the sliding door channel??????

sorry but that is one of my pet hates

thanks greyvanman for the observation.Better eye than me,although i know the sprayer and he will remove them
PS sliding door channel has been released from behind, alex isnt on the back doors yet and no doubt he wil remove the hinge rubbers, and vents(already taped),and will definately remove window gasket too.

Well i hope so as well but i have faith..
whats your views on sandblasting
