Id say several weekends...guess depends how much and how hard your using it.

For me its the portabilty i love.

serious? wanna avoid big gas bottle if i can help it purely from safety/space point of view- i know it wont blow up but more if it comes loose in a crash...

As in title, id rather not pay a deposit on a gas bottle but will soon be in need of one of those little baby bottles, think 5 or 7 kg, where the regulator pushes on from above and the gas valve also locks reg onto bottle with first half turn... if that makes sense

Ilminster hardware shop sells gas bottles without deposit needed...its opposite lloyds bank... i got a 7kg bottle for £18...well happy!

I doubt Robbie wants a 366 mile round trip for a gas bottle.

Garden centre less than a mile from his does 7kg for £12

We get 10 days continuous use out of our 4.5kg bottle. That runs 2 burners, grill and fridge. The kettle is rarely off...

I'd say from my 6kg propane I probably get in the region of 17-20 nights away running kettle, grille and fridge.

no its not the same, but the 'aerosol' type portable stoves, we had one in our van and lasted 3-4 days cooking food and boiling water....and if you get the heater ones, they last 4 hours on full blast - enough to warm a 12x12 foot summerhouse to sauna type temperatures

yes i got a cooker and a heater that uses aerosol can types, ok but much easier on my new triple burner, if needs be will still bring others as backups!
