Sorry for late reply chaps, been busy with one thing and another!

We covered just under 5000 miles in about 3 weeks and the only problem was a broken exhaust in Italy. I'd had the front section replaced before we left but the joint on the middle box started blowing and gave way just as we got into Prato in northern Italy - on a Friday! This meant no possibility of a repair until Monday (being Italy!) and we were due to drive to Rome for a show on Saturday. As luck would have it, there was a specialist, custom exhaust fabricator just round the corner from the hotel so we went to see him. He did a spot of welding on the pipe and box, welding a 'U' bracket to the pipe and box for 'extra hold'. This got us to and from Rome (round trip of 650 miles) and first thing Monday morning, he fitted the new exhaust as promised.

Other than that, my Tranny got us everywhere the band needed to be, started, stopped to order and I was just 31p out on my estimated fuel costs to the Management company before the tour. Fully loaded with gear and people, I got 25mpg.

The crossing from Italy to Austria was a bit hairy; middle of the night and the steepest road I've ever tried! Most of it was done in 1st gear! Had to stop after about 20 minutes to let her cool down!

I'm in Belgium at the mo, on tour for 2 weeks with the drummer who's in the middle of a drum masterclass demo tour so there's just me and him and a couple of drum company reps. Highlight so far was last night, a travel day so no gig, the hotel we're at was hosting a regional heat for Miss Belgium so the bar fit to busting with dead fit bi...... I mean jolly attractive young ladies. Ahead; Totty Factor 10!

Nice one! As said above you have the best tool for the job.

I would like to see a MK7 manage that with as little problems. They would need a software update, an injector here and there, and ofcourse an EGR valve at some point of the journey.. Haha

Looks like awesome fun!!
