Mk6 Central Locking

Postby transit mark » Fri May 10, 2013 7:42 pm

I have a 2003 Transit 280. I was told that when i unlock the van only the drivers door should unlock and then press again for everything. Mine opens everything on the first press but id rather it didnt. Can i change it?

3 Button fob :?:

Front RHS button, one press to unlock both cab doors, second press to unlock rear doors, OR bottom blue button to unlock rear doors only.

Front LHS button locks all doors (once), double locks (twice)

Yes i have the 3 button fob. Unlocking does everything and the blue button doesnt do anything. Its an ex hire van.

Makes you wonder if the company had then configured that way so that hirers didn't get confused by all the buttons  :P

If it is configured differently to normal, then it should be possible to change it back, but you'll need a technical guy with Ford IDS
 You could always ask Taz666 :)

I don't think it's programmable on a Mk 6, I think it's either a wiring change, or a module change, but APH would know for sure

Re: Mk6 Central Locking - Fixed

Postby transit mark » Sat May 25, 2013 6:19 pm

Thought i would update the thread with the progress.

Want to say a big thanks to Andy (APH), i was in Gravesend today and he said pop by and he would take a look. Tried another module and that fixed the problem and the central locking works as it should now.

He certainly knows his Transits and ive learnt abit today.

Many thanks again Andy.
