Tyres are tyres in my opinion as long as both are the same on each axle then no problem

Sadly, that isn't the case, they need to be equal to, or greater than, the weighted rate of the axle (as a pair!) :)

But surely if they are on the front the speedo reading would be incorrect as its a 55 profile instead of a 65 profile?

Yes it will be out. All tyres on a commercial vehicle need to have the correct loading all be it the connect is a class 4 mot and they dont come into it but in the event of an accident or a claim brace yourself

Connects are classed as LGV, a commercial vehicle NOT car derived van. Hence the correct load index rated tyres should be fitted :!:

Yes your right speedo would be incorrect.

If 195/55/15 are fitted to the front & you were traveling at 60mph, your actual speed would be 56, plus you would notice a reduction in fuel economy. :(

For a t230 connect you need a weight rating of 95 as specified in the manual. Well that's if you want to be legal about it. I ran a set of winter tyres last year with a rating of 91.
