Stalling engine

Engine runs OK but occasionally glow plug lights up and total loss of power. Clutch down switch off and on and everything OK until randomly happens again. Any ideas out there.

You need to get fault codes read

I have have a similar problem and each mechanic gets different codes depending on their computer and where they plug in! So its not so straight forward. Eg one plugged into the diesel fuel pump, two into the general engine plug, don't know its name! It seems that the computer interprets electric impulses so if there are insulation or short circuiting it comes up with a code, but it may not be the truth! Ends up being guess work.

Find a garage with Ford IDS and get the correct codes!
