I have have a similar problem and each mechanic gets different codes depending on their computer and where they plug in! So its not so straight forward. Eg one plugged into the diesel fuel pump, two into the general engine plug, don't know its name! It seems that the computer interprets electric impulses so if there are insulation or short circuiting it comes up with a code, but it may not be the truth! Ends up being guess work.
