3.2 tdci gearbox problems

Hi after some info

My gearbox is clonking in every gear other than fifth any one know what gone wrong also has any one experienced problems with the gearbox when tuning the 3.2 ?

Any one know if its the same as a 2.4 box ?

If it has had a cheap remap where they just remove the torque limiters then problems are likely

What do you cast as a crap remap and what limit would you put place ?

The factory map had torque limiters in 1st thru 3rd to protect the clutch and gearbox. Removing these, or raising them to far, will allow huge extras stresses on the box. Personaly I would not move them at all, and concentrate on mid range power in the higher gears.

You need a trans x bearing kit, mines 246hp & no problems

And where do you get that from ? Please tell as my box is coming apart next week and would prefer to make it stronger

Mine only has 236bhp but does have 620nm of torque humm I don't know

It's the torque that does the damage, not the number of horses

So looking at your 2.2 tuning on your website what went wrong there then ? Where is the smooth curve ?

Something not right if you ask me ?

Are you the chap off the Land Rover forum that was having a "dig" at a tuner and then erased all your posts ?

Yes it was me but i was told to remove them by mederator ? May I ask where you got your x bearing kit from ?
