They changed around 97.
You can changed the speedo drive back to the cable type with out removing the gearbox. You remove the electric one, blank it off, then remove the blank on the other side and fit the cable drive.

So can I just take the electric sensor bit out of the passenger side of the box and fit it into the manual cable bit on the drivers side mate?
