that's what is missing off my back axle ?

Heat shield or stabilizer ? Tez

If its the stabilizer I've just checked my 2013 and mines missing as well... is that ok or should it be there ?

Not all connects were fitted with a rear anti-roll bar (stabilizer), don't understand why Ford never fitted them to all connects.
As it increases stability when cornering.

Bolt holes should be present for anti-roll bar clamps, so effectively you can install one no problem.

Assembly comprises of

1x Anti-roll bar (stabiliser)
2x bushes
2x clamps
4x bolts
2x droplinks

Mine seems to handle ok without the anti roll bar but my worry is will it fail the mot for not having one sometime in the future ?

can't and won't fail as it never had one.........i fitted it about 4yrs ago and it does improve cornering

As G-man says, as it was not fitted it would not fail a MOT

It would have been different if anti-roll bar was present, but drop links were missing - that would be a MOT failure

Another update on progress of dash wiring loom
Dash loom is now virtually completed - to finish is to add the 5 plugs for the GEM module.







Here is where I have added the low beam interrupt relay (behind instrument cluster)


This jumble of wiring is to be connected to the GEM module plugs

Well after reading the whole thread over a few days I must say I'm well impressed you clearly got some skills dude, it's a shame there are a few envious and jealous types on here who can't refrane from posting sarcastic and bithchy comments because they probably haven't got the skills to take on such a project themselves....

Before I refit dash assembly, Though I better check fitment for accelerator pedal.
Good job I did, typical another minor change in mountings on connects from 2006 onwards.

Great to see the project taking shape,your obviously very hands on to undertake all that work.Can i just ask,is there any reason why you raised the side trim above the recessed grooves and only fitted one?Im guessing just for the cleaner look........

New side trims are for a 2006 onwards connect & fitted them so it looks newer. Old ones had faded & were loose.

Thanks, Once dash is refitted there will be a couple of bit & bobs to do. Essentially it's nearly finished

Most of the work is fairly straight forward. Although I have come across the old mounting point or bracket missing, which you would normally find on 2006 onwards connects.
