Yes that's a common fault. I have fitted a smart charge loom, unfortunatly my alternator at fault :(

New rear bumper arrived today

& have it booked in to be painted up on Monday

I will let you work out what the extra holes are for :D

Removed my old bumper & it's fairly new genuine Ford part with no corrosion.

Listed it for sale in for sale & wanted section.

Just read through this thread from the start (took me a while) and I'm well impressed mate - well done.
I do autokeys, diagnostics and electrics for a living, and your knowledge is astounding! I don't know anyone that's mated SCP modules to CANBUS clocks etc. and had it all working! Can you test them via OBD okay?

I also noticed in a picture your using a flat key (HU101 type) ignition lock too ;) nice touch! - I've never seen it done but I've known they'd fit.
Will a Transit Custom door lock fit the door ? Then you'd have matching keys/locks (plus added security compared to Tibbe locks) all round.

I'm blown away by this build, and have learned lots from this thread. Good work mate

Unfortunately I don't have any spare, I've just ordered a replacement sensor from Ford as I only had 3

It took some working out using the old 2004 connects loom, in the end I used ECU calibration for a late 2004 Focus TDCI 115ps. Which had HS-CAN & SCP protocols enabled - (Same a Mondeo mk3 2.0 TDCI -FMBA engine)
Now I have done away with SCP by fitting a Euro 4 Mondeo mk4 engine using 2007 connect wiring loom - which dash loom has been completely reconfigured to run 2009 onwards instrument cluster & all modules.
IDS tests all modules etc via DLC (OBD) no problem & onboard diag is working too. :D

Yes I was using steering lock/ignition assembly from a Focus Mk2 (HU101T type key) as a stop gap. Due to 2010 steering column came with no lock assembly.
I did think about changing all door locks over to HU101T, unfortunately none will fit :(

Thanks 8) As people say "You'll learn something new every day " especially when vehicles are getting more complex these days.

Hopefully rear bumper will be ready to pick up tomorrow :D

Decided to order new trim for centre floor console.

This one is a Sport/Mid option from Ford - Part No F5076095

Image

looks a lot better, instead of console being all one colour. According to label stuck to it - trim colour is Triton
