Paul, further back in the thread, you posted the part number for the sub-loom and how to connect it.
Is the connector there on all Connects? Mine is a 58 plate LX with heated screen and mirrors, so guessing the connector is in place.

No it not there on all connects, although it should be present on yours, plug should be under N/S scuttle panel.
Fuse for heated washer jets is F41 10A for 2006-2009 connects

For 2003-2006 connects F53 10A

I think Paul was thinking about putting a mondeo 125PS engine in as he said in this post:

If you have a 110ps connect. QYBA engine complete with fuel system & turbo is a direct fit with no modifications & will run at 110ps. This it due to Connects calibration on ECU.

For a 75/90ps connect from 2006 onwards, again engine is a direct fit BUT to run at 110ps...
Forward section of exhaust/cat has to be replaced to one for VNT turbo & extra wiring (5 wires) added to ECU for VNT turbo & then load connects 110ps calibration onto ECU.

For 2003-2006 connects complete vehicle wiring loom (engine bay, dash & body loom) will require replacing with ones from a 2006 onwards model.
Due to different ECU & Fuel systems.

I've already tried running Mondeo 125ps calibration. Problem I have is PATs (immobiliser) won't reprogram - keeps coming up as Vehicle ID/Type mismatch so engine won't start
Plus ECU was looking for further equipment that's not fitted, cDPF is one of them

Although engine starts & runs no problem using connects 110ps calibration.

I will continue to work on getting Mondeo 125ps calibration to work & if I can get it to work then it would be a bonus - Cruise control then can be added

Looks to be a fairly new one

My engine came yesterday, with what looks like a new-ish one on, plus, I bought a brand new one for my connect last year. So now I have 2 good alternators. If I would of known, you could of had one of mine cheap Paul, for helping me out with my swap.

I'm glad my new engine came with the alternater and mount, as I broke mine somehow

As mentioned on page 21 of this thread. Regarding change in mounting bracket for accelerator pedal on connects from 2006 onwards.

I checked with Ford to get a new one, Unfortunately they don't list them
So I obtained one from 2009 connect.



Simply drilled out spot welds to remove.
