Remove radiator fan cowling to fit smaller primary fan today.

Checked both fans to make sure they're working before refitting assembly.

Bled clutch, job done in less than 2 min :D

Easy when you have a pressure brake bleeder.

Drain fluid fron brake reservoir first
Fill reservoir on brake bleeder & attach airline.
Connect output line from brake bleed reservoir to bleed nipple on CSC & open it.
Turn on airline - pressure must not be any higher than 20 psi (1.4 bar) :!:
Fluid is then pumped into into clutch systems via CSC & will fill the brake reservoir 8)

One man operation & No need to pump clutch pedal

checking for leaks & it noticed a patch of oil underneath.

Oil sump is leaking, I supposed thats what you get when engine had been sitting on it's sump before being fitted.

As sump has to be removed, decided to get a new one from TPUK £25 complete with gasket.

Finally got round to changing plug on engine bay loom for ABS/ESP pump.

After it was plugged in & ignition turned on. A error meesage was displayed on instrument cluster "ESP Malfunction - Read owners guide"
Run IDS, several DTC's were reported. ABS/ESP module configuration incompatable, SASM (steering angle sensor) Invalid signal.

Cleared DTC's & reprogrammed ABS/ESP pump with "As Built Data", Recalibrated SASM & Yawrate/ESP sensor.

Image

Bleed full brake system Using IDS - BleedMASTER.
Connect pressure brake bleeder to brake reservoir, Loosen off both front brake bleed nipple & attach a suitable drainage bottle.
Select from following options & follow instructions.

Image

Once done I rechecked DTC's & only have one outstanding which is for BT/VC module (which I have not fitted yet).

Image

ABS/ESP is now working perfectly, both ABS & ESP light proves out as they should.
ESP can be disabled (turned off) under menu setting's.

Image

When ESP has been disabled ESP light is turned on as shown below.
Also now have the option to enable/disable Hill Assist under vehicle settings on instrument cluster.

Image

Image

Speedo is working fine & now Average MPG is working - will be at 0.1 as engine is idling.

Also noticed when replacing sump. O/S intermediate drive shaft is also covered in oil.
Oil leak is from turbo  either oil feed or oil return pipe :?
