God Bless You My Son, My thoughts and prayers are with you

Mk2 and Mk3 chassis are almost identical so looking at that I think I would look around for another chassis (at least one with some metal left in it ) any chassis you find may need some work but again looking at the original I think you may have so much work it will be a struggle to keep it "straight" :!:
a second chassis could be "done up" off the job and then "grafted" onto the cab :!: It would also allow you to keep the truck "mobile" till its ready for its "new" chassis
Ive been to hell and back with mine as you've seen but as bad as it was it was nowhere near as bad as yours
as for keeping it as "original" as possible I get where you're coming from but in this case there wouldn't be as much Ford left in that chassis as there would be "made by Karl" so another chassis would still end up more "original"
which ever way you go, good luck with it and get a progress thread started with plenty pics :D

Yes irishtransit, it is the one we talked about.
I was at one time asking if anyone wanted spare parts off it, so I am very pleased that Karl is keeping it alive. He deserves support. It is a mighty project and if he completes it he should be very proud of his efforts.
