I put 15 quid in my van at a shell garage last week, only managed 75 miles out of it, all town driving but not really sat in traffic, not very happy with that.

Actually just worked that out and its still 32 to the gallon so not too bad really. Van did seem to run better as well as I normally go to Tesco to fuel up.

£15 isn't even 3 gallons of diesel.

Its less than 2.5 gallon :!:

£50 got me back to durham from Jay's place (Holyhead) 250 miles and to be fair I was doing 70/80 all the way back so didn't think that was bad for a Di with nearly 150k on it :?: In fact doin the sums in my head (roughly) it works out at around 32 mpg @ £1.40 per litre so guess on a run keepin it down to 60/65 I should manage 35/36 :)

Around town I get about 90 miles on £20. All short journeys, stop/start & a boot here and there! ;-) I'm happy with that :)

Transit connect 1.8 tddi, egr blanked and airbox snorkel removed. I think I can get better as I'm sure the intercooler hoses are gone a bit porous.

MK7 330 rwd ex rac.

Just had the diff ratio changed by the guys at Transaxle (excellet job, highly recommended!)

Since the change, clocks have been around 37-38mpg for for general driving about. MPG readout has crept over 40mpg on a couple of occasions. Looking forward to testing it out on a more eco style drive.

I've been driving fairly steady I guess.. Over the weekend moved house and im at around 35mpg now for driving short trips ferrying stuff from house to house. Nothing too heavy though..

My attempt to drive steady to gain better mpg numbers probably won't last very long!

My attempts never do, I can manage 40 in the van, but not for long! It usually sits at 31.9
