Anyone know much about running straight veg oil in the Transit? I've read a few posts that say around 20% mix is ok.
I'm thinking that at 59c (40p) for ALDI veg oil, it will be a lot cheaper than 1.14euro per litre for Diesel.
It should bring down costs for 300 mile weekend trips.

The law says you can use it but you need to pay duty on it! Not to sure how much the duty is now but a couple of years ago it was 23p a litre.

That's alright till you get caught and as it happens I was pulled the other day and told to follow an officer on a motorcycle to a car park where they were checking vehicles.

police are just out to collect money for the government to pay towards the sh*t state that this country is in, they dont want to know about the problems we have they just target the easy touch motorist  a council contracted vehicle removal and impounding fella i know told me the other day that because so many people were stopping smoking the government were loosing so much revenue in lost tax on cigarettes that they are desperately looking for other ways to get money in and one of the ways was clamping untaxed vehicles and believe this, untaxed vehicles are getting few and far between so one of the ideas put forward was to make private parking bays in complexes of flats and housing areas the same as the highway so that if your vehicle was SORN and parked in a bay they will clamp it and remove it :!:
