After taking connect for a good run, No more leaks. Front suspension is indeed stiffer & now sticks to the road :D

Just a quick note, with gearbox being a ratio of 3.41. Engine speed when cruising at 60mph is approx 1700 rpm in 5th gear.
Improves fuel economy & engine is no longer racing away, plus it runs quieter 8)

- For the select few who may think "yeh right pull the other one." Watch this vid here  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylsypW6ovxw

TDDi wouldn't survive it, I guess.

You can fit a gearbox with a ratio of 3.56 from a 2000-2001 Focus TDDI (part no 1S4R-7002-LC)

Still waiting for new V5 to arrive :(

Silicone boost hoses, thinking of changing all turbo & intercooler hoses.
Anyone here know where I get a silicone one to replace main boost hose from Turbo (VNT) :?:

Must be for a 110ps as 75/90ps are different

I'm ordering green ones for mine from a Samco distributor same as the focus hoses as they don't list a kit for the connect.

I can get the hose from inlet manifold to top pipe & 2 short hoses from top pipes to intercooler.
Still can't get the hose from VNT turbo to top pipe :?

I rather replace all or not at all. Won't look right with 1 standard as the rest in silicone.

It's this hose from turbo to intercooler top pipe - arrow points to it in pic below.

well that sucks Paul typical government clap trap though!

as for your hoses you can try this site if you measure your pipe up they should have something to match up http://www.viperperformance.co.uk/subcats.php?xctId=36 or email dan@samcosport.com and see if he can help you out.

Thanks I will give them a try.
I noticed when removing O/S driveshaft, mine has started to split right at the bottom on the bend. So it needs to be replaced.

I did notice that

They jump on people for removing CAT's & DPF's& is illegal to use a vehicle on the road that has had them removed - also an automatic MOT refusal if removed where one was fitted as standard.
But there no incentive for vehicles that have been adapted/modified to meet lower emission standards. (unless you live in London - LEZ compliant)
