Absolute QUALITY work going on here :!: :)

And who said you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear :?: I think a good few on here have managed it this year :D After seeing so many transits saved from the breakers, and the quality of the work thats being done I'm beginning to really believe that no transit has to be a lost cause, no matter what we find underneath the paint once we get them home

where there's a will (and a welder  ) there's a way :!:

Disappointment and despair can be turned into a great deal of satisfaction for anyone thats prepared to give some blood, sweat and CO2/Argon mix

Keep up the good work guys (I know you will anyway) :)

Oooooh, it finally let me log in!

THAT'S NOT MY VAN!!!   I don't know if I'llknow how to drive that! There was specific aerodynamics, whistles and rattles that would tell me which way the wind blows and where is the east, I'm going to have to get a satnav now! :o

Excellent work, I admire your patience and attention to detail, it's unreal. It just makes sooo much difference when there is someone who doesn't think "oh, what do you want with this old rust bucket?!" Thank you for the hard work, you're proving that impossible is just a word!

Based on a phone call...

The other side should be in primer now too (if not it should happen today). Then its tidying up the wings/arches/bonnet etc then paint

That is... unless Nada wants a matte grey van? Im sure it would look quite good in primer?

well quite a lot has happened but very little that is photogenic

Kalkat put colour down on the windscreen surround to give it as much time to go off as possible

We are also hoping to have colour on the van tomorrow

I know you lot all like piccies

I'm just sorry there arn't really enough of them.

I can't really give an account of what happened over the last week, because I can't remember! All I know is that since last Friday I have started every day between 7 and 8 and rarely left before 10pm - probably around 100 hours! Kalkat has put in a good number of hours too probably 80+!

Anyway these are the pics that I have taken this week#

Then we spent £380 odd on paint

And then Nadjenka collected it for its Journey to Slovakia on Monday!

The paint needs flatting back and polishing, and there are a couple of runs to get out and one or 2 other little bits to finish tidying up - its going to come back to us at some point to do the odds and sods.

The rear doors got pluged up, primered and given a single coat of colour so they match the van, but they are twisted from earlier accidents and do really needs replacing (but they will do for now!)

A LOT of graft went in to it I assure you... and I have seen it or heard from Nada since :(

All I know is that she drove it back to london and a motorbike scraped it - fortunately only the rear bumper had minor damage

It isn't insured and hasn't been taxed or MOT'd since August.

Maybe she scrapped this one too  :(

It won't have been scrapped - it went to Slovakia - in theorey for 6 months - but you know how things sometimes go on longer than expected!
