DRIVER AND SINGLE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT CHANGE

Postby mtbcol » Thu Mar 05, 2015 10:44 pm

Hi
We have a 2003 t300 swb, I was just about to start cleaning the two front seats when I wondered if any other vehicle seats would bolt directly onto the base/frame without any mods to battery box, handbrake etc?
Anyone done this ?
Thanks'
Colin.

With the exception of the newer mk7 transit or tourneo, no all others would need some kind of modification :D

Nice! :D how come they are not waterproofed with oil and dirt like ours are?!! Oh well, if mods are required I'll have to keep the old ones and get the scrubbing brush out! :(

Thanks' punto443

You've just got to keep on top of the cleaning, mines a working van, joiner.

But if it's your personal van, you've got more motivation to keep it nice :D

I sold my old seats for £120, they were mint too

Sorry, my post sounded like i was taking the watsit! no offence intended.

Yes. its a personal van, will be used for transporting the mountain bikes etc. on days out/ holidays. I have just got it and am doing up, but looks like I will have a lot of work to do, as the metal worm has moved in big time! :( . Still, got to get the cab looking clean and tidy for our Wales trip in June or I won't be very popular with the wife! :)

Wish I had known about your old seats, would have been perfect.

Thanks' for the advice so far, i'm sure i'll be needing more!

Cheers

If you're stuck, seat covers will hide all manner of things

It all depends who the previous owner was as mines was missing the standard single passenger seat and I got a free manky double seat which I cleaned and my driver seat was missing a big chunk of foam and I got a clean drivers seat added in the sale after 5 years both are still nice and clean :D
