Fuses, Bl~~dy fuses on an 08 connect

Having a nightmare with my Engine compartment fuse box in so much as the diagram appears to differ from the box itself and the diagram has 12 rows with fuses populated in rows 1 and 12, however the box itself only has 11 rows ..... arghhhh

Theres no numbers on the box so it's kind of guesswork as to whether the top or bottom row (left or right side in pic) is the missing row so it's hard to work it out
F42 is present and working so im guessing the row thats not there is the far right one in the fuse diagram pic, but....

I have two problems im trying to cure (3/4 other issues)
1) cig lighter is not working, i'm guessing the fuse has blown as a sat nav lead fell apart in it and prob shorted it out in doing so.
2) the reverse lamp is not working, though the bulb is fine (could be the switch rather than the fuse though) f41 in the fuse diagram but that row appears notto be in the fusebox????
3) going off the diagram many fuses are the incorrect ampage?
4) f47 has a 20a fuse but its listed on diagram as heated seats (mine has no heated seats) f46 is windscreen wipers in diagram on box it appears empty, but the f47 (from diagram)has a 20a fuse and windscreen wipers work??






Anyone had similar issues and can offer advice on this?
Someone please help before I lose my mind completely!!

Thats not the Engine compartment fuse box as its inside its the passenger compartment fuse box, looks like wrong cover \ sticker \ info

1st row, top left (blue 15 amp) is fuse 30 running along to fuse 40
2nd row 41 to 51
3rd row 52 to 62

fuse 43 (15a) is your cig lighter & fuse 41 (10a) is reverse lamps

Sorry typo meant to write central fuse box... that's how irate it's now got me I'm now confusing myself ☺

Thanks for the info, Is there anyway of finding out the correct layout in terms of a picture if mine may be incorrect?

I have other items to add in to the equation soon... A dash cam and a screen first to be hardwired via a fuse tap, (live lead) black ground (black) to be added somewhere that's already used for this. Screen not sure if it will be same or plugged into cig lighter yet.

So what free fuse positions are only live when ignition is on for this purpose (only want cam running from van battery when engine is running)

I wired my dash cam and screen into the radio feed as you have it all there, live, earth + ign feed

Auto electrician I am not lol, the hardwire kit that came with the cam from joovuu has a red and black lead only so a fuse tap for red and ground the black to an earth point was my easy option!

Not having a clue about auto electrics I would have thought your method would involve 3 wires and perhaps splicing into existing wires. ..A sire thumb just guessing here?

What screen did you get? Looked at so many mirror mounted ones, but think the 7" may hang a little low from my existing mirror and stick out like a sore thumb!

Yes I did splice into ign feed for radio wiring as that is already fuse protected for camera and screen and also spliced into the live, again fuse protected for the DVR

I removed one of the center air vents and the small 4.5 inch screen sits in there

My 2008 Connect was the same, the fuse box sticker was completely wrong, l ordered another sticker from Ford and that was wrong too

Lol, I was going to do that myself till I read on another thread someone had done that and it was still incorrect!

Anyone got a full list or pic of passenger fuse box locations for an 08 connect ...for future reference?

My 08 plate has the 11 row fusebox. I have managed to glean some info, from Haynes, also from owners handbook.
I have generated an excel spreadsheet, but there does not seem to be a way to attach it. If you PM me, I can forward it by email.

Ah, the excel formatting does not transfer!
The chart above is from a spreadsheet I have produced, mainly from the Haynes book, also from the drivers handbook.
The detail & layout have changed a bit, due to copy/paste, but the outline is there. If anyone wants the full monty, send a PM & I can forward it as a spreadsheet. There is also info on the diagnostic connector & the 6000 series radio plugs.

Now to find which fuses are not hot all the time (go off with ignition) I sense another headache coming tomorrow as i'm off and the rear view mirror screen arrived today,

Thats the cctv (always live rear view cam), the dashcam and the screen to wire in tomorrow, Im sure connecting then hiding all those cables in headlining and A pillar will be fun.... afterall the inverter was a doddle to connect ( 1 cigarette lead lol )

Hey, I know this is 5 years old now, but I've got the same issue (incorrect sticker under glove box) and it seems this Excel file would be just what I need. Any chance I could get it from you? I wanted to PM but not sure how and couldn't find any way to do it lol
