As for being ugly..they may not suit everyone's tastes and look a little dated, however the space inside them is phenomenal! I carry three 600cc race bikes, all my spares, wheels tyres etc and still have enough room to have a double bed up permanently,a table and 4seats fixed as well as cooker, fridge, workgroup space and three overhead lockers..and then our seats in the front part! In my regular LWB H/R Transit (2008) I don't even have space for two bikes if I have a permanent bed!

Have you tried any agricultural and plant glazing companies ? they usually deal with odd shaped and sized windows :)

I've tried plant glazers, and bus and coach blazers as well as contacting windscreen manufacturers all with out any luck!!
Think we're gonna have to fit New frame work and fibre glass parts so a regular transit windscreen fits!!...But honestly don't want to go down that road!

TBH mate that's gonna look a bit silly. If you are going down the 'Custom' route, go split screen!

How much do`s the newest equivalent version differ ? just wondered as I have seen two newish ones belonging to a local council as mini buses and they looked very much like the white picture but built on a newish transit, im guessing mk7, so something very similar is available and maybe would not take as much to alter the van ?

Your vehicle ehicle is a almost certainly"Ford Transit/Dormobile parcel van" and the windscreen ref DT4L42C
We got a windscreen for ours (1990 model) from laura.harding@psvglass.co.uk in 2006
Tel 01494 533131
PSV Glass, 16 Hillbottom Road, Sands Industrial Estate, High Wycombe, Bucks, HP16 4HJ
Price in 2006 £268.16.
Shipping to France £458
They are still there:-

Pictures from Google

After over 200,000 miles ours is resting due to extensive rust at the front, especially the front spring hangers and cross member. You can get the bits but nobody , including me, wants to/can to fix it. I't is much loved and will be used as a summer house in the garden.

Good old plodder but a bit slow.
