Hello. Lovely to see all these Frontier vans here, I have one also and it's been great fun - bought in 2008 and each Winter I threatened to sell it as it's a bit of a luxury, however each Spring I decide just one more Summer..

This Spring it's failed MOT due to the driver seat tilt not staying put once adjusted (not causing a problem when I'm driving, but enough to fail MOT by as it can be simply pushed by hand to bed mode) so I need to get this repaired.

Has anyone experience of this? Is the mechanism massively complex?

My local garage is offering to weld it solid in place (no tilt = no bed) so I'm keen to look at options before agreeing to this. Failing that anyone know of any suitable replacement seats on the market? I've tried Charles & Sons in Poole but they have none.

Got van back and taken a closer look, it's the seat tubing that's sheared nowt to do with the ratchet for the tilt. Hopefully solved by a simple weld job, will find out on Weds when someone in the know takes a look. Here's the damage:

Here's some pics of the van anyway to add to the thread.

It's not quite as tidy 4 years on, the rug has gone too!

my drivers seat did the same thing. I had to pull the seat apart and re weld it.

HI, back again looking more answers, my ol girl passed her MOT at last and we had our first trip away last weekend, all went brill, very comfi van and had a good weekend. however have 2 questions the first is how do you get the fridge out, don't want to start taking every thing apart if there's an easy way and 2nd, what should be connected to the leisure batty and to the main vehicle batty, looks like my lights and fridge are running off the main vehicle batty as there are 2 extra fused wires running off it and when I disconnect the leisure batty the interior lights stay on, the leisure batty is connected to something but don't know what it is as I can only follow the wires a short way. Can anyone help me out hear please even a wee wiring diagram would help, thanks for all your help in the past she wouldn't be on the road yet if it wasn't for this forum and the good folk on it......Brian

Fridge is meant to be off engine battery, as it should only work on 12 v when engine is running.

Remove fuses from extra wires on engine battery, and see if one of them put lights off, if it does, move wire to leisure battery.
Edit : do you mean the cab interior lights ?

Had my battery's checked and my leisure battery wasn't the best so the previous owner must have wired everything up to the vehicle battery, will change the leisure battery and move the wires back like you said and see how it goes from there. Thanks for the advice
