What a relief

Noticed engine rattle under load the other day but was coming and going, today got so loud people in street were turning to see where noise was coming from. Got home stuck on IDS, showed cyl 1 injector fault, stripped it and the clamp holding No1 & 2 injectors had worked loose, torqued it up and all good again. Thought I was in for serious trouble but what a relief.

There's a small possibility it will happen again, the copper sealing washer on the bottom of the injector gets hammered, (hence your rattling noise), when the clamp comes loose...also the clamp bolts are "single use" and when torqued once, ideally they should be replaced.

i also get the washers soft(hot) then clamp them

but the trick is re-cut the seats first
