transitpartsuk, brand new engine

need a new engine for my mk7 2.4 rwd (100ps, 2007)

looking at the price of a used engine of unknown quality £1000+

and a recon engine £1500+
(and they won't accept my old engine as a return because there's a hole in the block)

figured I might as well get a new engine... that van does ~75k a year so I should get my monies worth out of it

I'd phone Ford first and see what they can offer :-)
56 350 2.2 130ps mk7 with 2 side doors 8)
65 290 2.2 125ps custom with 2 side doors 8)
07 350 170ps

2K doesn't sound bad for a new genuine article, I paid £1200+VAT for a Focus TDDi nearly 10 years ago :mrgreen:

They still wanted the old one back though :?

Well my boss got a 2.4 140 engine with water pump and stuff for 2300
And they never took the old 1.

any idea what else was on it ?

might be worth checking with ford if I'll get enough other (new) bits with it :-)

I would still phone the dealer myself and ask, how much is he marking that up for himself :wink:

i know were their is a block for around £100 quid second hand but you have to rebuild the engine yourself :(

I agree. They do add their bit on top.

Sprinter 313 engine 6.5k fitted comes complete with turbos, injectors etc & they throw in a 2yr unlimited mileage warranty...
