I believe it is in the oil pump assembly

I had all the oil pump out on rebuild checked all the cog ect all looked ok and intact.... it was just a sprocket at front and two teether cogs inside.

??????????? i can tell you their is no pressure relief valve in the oil pump

Is it in the front casting of the oil pump just behind the drive sprocket - looking at pics on eBay. Haynes manual also states under oil pressure warning light illuminated - oil pump pressure relief valve defective.I haven't had first hand experience of it - my pump was recently changed by Ford under recall - they would'nt let me keep the old one.
