WE OFFER AND A STRIP AND REBUILD SERVICE, THIS INCLUDES, STRIPPING, CLEANING IN ACID AND HOT TANKS, PARTS INSPECTION INCLUDING MEASURING BORES, CRANKSHAFT,CON RODS, CYLINDER FACE AND VALVE VACUUM.
THE ENGINE IS THEN RE ASSEMBLED. THIS ALL COSTS JUST £600 INCLUDING VAT.

That pic is a Euro 5 engine with Siemens Fuel system, wouldn't even run in mk7 Euro 4

Paul2012,
re the fitting of the Mk7 2.2 airbox to the Mk6 engine;
The airbox clips into two slots on the top of the inlet manifold, these slots are present on all Mk6 inlet manifolds, except the 75ps one.
The airbox then bolts to the two center fixings on the rocker cover, you will need to replace these fixings with the Mk7 ones.

To provide access to the oil filler you will need to do as we have and fit a Mk6 2.4 rocker cover together with the matching oil filler extension, the Mk7 cover will not fit over the MK6 rockers.
An alternative to this and something for the future, is providing a 'spacer plate' that can be inserted between the rocker cover and the head, this way the standard Mk7 cover could be fitted and would provide the necessary clearance for the Mk6 rockers. This way the existing Mk7 oil filler tube could also be retained.

Perhaps if you spent a little more time thinking about innovative ideas you could develop yourself, of which we've seen none so far, and less time being compulsively obsessed with criticising what others choose to do, you would probably end up being a much more content and happy man, then you could change your signature.

are you sure you know what a mrk 7 engine looks like

and the actual cost of rebuilding theses

May be I am mistaken, but I think not.
This whole thread started from a position of making available a further option for a Mk7 fwd by fitting a Mk 6 2.0 with mtdi pump etc.
This has been achieved and we are told that a full kit of relevant brackets etc will in the fullness of time be available for us to purchase if we choose this route.
Its just another option you can take .
You can choose what you wish to do to your own van, be it the colour, decals , fat wheels and tyres, lowering , transplanting a large v8 petrol into it, making it into a camper, etc etc ...................!!
Your own financial position may dictate what you can afford to do but the final decision is yours!!
Choose what you wish to do with your own van, and mtdi is just another choice available.
