New rocker cradle, new rocker cover.
1 28 pounds injector.
Replaced 3 nozzles 885, and pins, were second hand from Duff injectors, suspect the balls were fitted flat side up
But they all looked newer than mine, torqued up.
New clamps and bolts, torqued up + 180 degrees, no leaks visible.

Sweet, just a leak off test tomorrow and we're done.

No idea if the spray pattern is clean or whether any are over fueling tho :?

Leak off test results are in.

Old.
4 mins@tickover

1@32ml
2@34ml
3@36ml
4@51ml

New nozzles and pins on 1/2/3
28 pounds injector off eBay (always questionable but worth a go at that price)

Results

1@30ml
2@30ml
3@26ml
4@25ml

Tolerance is 25ml to 40ml

Looks like a result to me 8)

I don't have the facility to visually inspect spray pattern or measure fuel flow, ids passed injector learn on the second attempt, suspect i should have given it a good run to clear all the air out and lubricate the pins thoroughly.

Nonetheless they passed ids learn so for now I'm very happy.

Also when they failed the first learn it was almost immediately on test point 4 and i could hear odd sounds, probably for the above reason but the interesting thing is that ids reported something along the lines of, test aborted, validity of performing this procedure is being looked into. yes and the result was..... Fook denso off and use Siemens

Nice simple & usable setup there Loot...I have a similar setup but with "baby bottles" instead of the "manky" ones you have... I get similar results to you @ idle...within a few mill's either way...

I see you just did the test at idle like we thought it should be done, I guess that's the right method going by our results, well done Sir.

Amnesia :-(
I bought a roll of window washer pipe to add my rear window wipers ages ago and i used that for my leak off pipes :-)
You need to measure the o.d of your injector leak holes the pipe slots inside them, gently unclip the leak pipe off the top and put a tape across :-)

No bother .So your hose fits inside the leak off hole of the injector.
I was going to get hose that went over it.
I should of checked the size last week when i did the injectors washer but remembered once everything was back together

Right, my van runs as it should, however, recently if i leave it on tickover for a while it starts hunting.

I was playing with ids and in pcm i selected the 4 injectors.

1. 4.xxx
2. -1.5
3. 3.5xx
4. 3.5xx

Changes when i Rev.
Egr gives no faults but may be questionable although egrdc was looking good.

Not sure if the cylinders are measured on average or singular so i can't tell if it is the hunting causing it? Although it wasn't apparently doing it when seeing the number.

Don't have cfr or vmm so can't do a injector flow test :-(
Leak off test shows good.

Possible prv/scv that needs checking although the scv voltage looked within spec. :?

I'm fairly sure a pump and injectors learn will cure it but that leads me to think....... WTF does it need doing every few months (on my van)?

Bloody Ford.

Any ideas?

Going to rotate the batteries, check prv/scv, learns.
Then it'll be sending injectors away? Not sure i fancy that tbh

If i jump in the van and go it drives great, no smoke, very smooth, plenty of power.

Am i being influenced by ocd? Hmmm.
