nice looking step you put back in there, it's a funny site isnt it with just a gaping hole there

not so sure about that rear axle twin wheel thing, i would be concerned a little about knackering the bearings putting that much extra leverage on them

gotta love flat beds/chassis cabs for the easy access to cut out big sections of chassis and weld it all back up with out rolling around on your back getting covered in welding sparks (you should see my welding leathers )

as for that dodgy looking birdshit around the original plating, at least it looks like it stuck a little bit, some of mine was only being held together by the underseal and roofing tar they had painted over their "welding" to hide how crap it was when i got it. (although the plate looks way too thin for where it is fitted)

its not welded in just offered up- got a mate to bend it "professionally" so its nice and strong!!!

so i guess that was a little long for the hammer and vice huh ... i know what you mean i would be lost if i didnt have access to a number of benders for shaping stuff, especially the thicker stuff

yeah mate all welding was painted prior to parking up

pic took today i'm seriously considering dragging it out and putting it back on my drive at home, now we have the light nights i can do a bit when i get home from work not much needed for MOT, brakes, and that rear chassis welding mainly, and i could do with making it a runner to make space for another project mabe a mk1 camper

ive had this on my drive for a while now, but ive decided i need to get a move on get this up and running to clear a space

i need to get the sherpa back fitted properly the 40mm box section is bolted to the chassis in the transit mounting holes and im gonna bolt plates to the btm of the sherpa back - lay it on top and weld in place



chassis rails are pritty bad





i removed the towbar as its bad undernieth, i'd like to replace the entire bottom half odf the chassis leg - not sure if its available
