So dumping the datsun chassis as I have not played or tags with it. Pick up a 1988 Hilux (lowlux) so the can will find its new home there. Toyota body and flat deck to come off in the next 3 weeks. Flat deck is going on the back of the old transit as my new trailer :D . Photos to folow of course. Cab is in the shed again floor to come out in next week or so. Off to get a saw for the floor n chassis. Gets the job done.

May / June UPDATE - Mk1 Ute Transit - New Zealand Build Notr

Postby towtnz » Sat May 28, 2016 4:56 am

So settled into new job (CNC Operator) Have decided to not cut the floor out next, even tho i want it done so bad, i'm going to make the chassis and motor fit up first so i don't over cut the floor and get to see how much room i can make up under cab for ECU, Batt, Loom, Electric water pump maybe. Still yet to plan twin turbo setup or not & radiators (x2) under bonnet. Still pushing for a drive around the block by this xmas so pushing when i can, also some more updated photos will go up after today. Big thanks to all thos watching, love the feedback. Back soon

Update have removed the floor from the cab. Sitting on the floor now. Photos in the next few days. Fire wall still to come out as well as inner gurds and the shelf behind the head lights. Unsure if the cash will remain or be changed. Will see what happens. Extractors arrived for the Buick.

So the as always is more to come, will get some photos off old floor before it goes to the tip. Had not much rust in it, Im keeping the rust so it seams
same old story, but the rusty ones make the best ones if i remember rightly. Keep ya updated when i can.
