Postby jf t350 » Wed May 16, 2007 5:55 pm

hello everyone new to the site, hope someone out there can help me with this one, i have recently bought a t350 lwb hi roof on a 03 plate it is minted inside and out compared to my last van, anyway put it in for a full service including glow plugs and was told two plugs are stuck in engine they said that the top bit the nut i presume has sheered and is just turning i can't prove if it was them or not and my van really needs them as it's not to clever starting, will i get away with replacing just two or am i looking at a huge bill to get these out? thanks :(

That's why the glow plugs are a last resort to be changed only if you really have no other choice, unfortunatley this is a common thing and happens when ever you try to remove the glow plugs.

wish i had known that as i have already bought glow plugs, as you said if this is a common problem are they easily removed? as i have been told the head has to come off to get them out, and that there is no point replacing just two as it won't help, surely someone has had this problem?

do you have an idea of how much this could cost and the best place to get it done? i really like the van would be a shame to have to sell it or whatever
