Cracked on today, subframe is on, wishbones fitted, gearbox is mounted and new Ford brake pipe fitted, chassis leg is welded 90%, radiator support and intercooler are fitted.







Need to finish the welding the leg then underseal it, fit wishbone and shock etc then it's rolling, plug all the electrics in and fit radiator etc then it's running, then it's just a case of building it all back up

Either way yes I'm glad it is on, i measured the fook out of it so it it isn't right then I'll make use of the sledge hammer

Luckily the 4 little bolts in the the radiator support go straight into the legs and don't have any adjustment. What could possibly go wrong?

Boss wants the can drivable so if there's any visitors to the factory i can doss the van somewhere out of sight.

I need to do a few more spot welds to finish the leg, seam seal it, fit new oil pan then reconnect all connectors and earth's and we're away

Polite way of saying hurry up and shift it.

When I had a proper job my boss used to say thing like that to me when I had new parts for my escort I was painting slowly in my lunch hour lying around, I just used to tell him to fek off as the cassette labelling machine was a bodged up piece of sh*t and my car parts improved its look.

Or you could just say next week I'll work on the van to get it finished but I want full pay and I want a pay rise you tight arsed tw@#.

Finished welding the leg and painted it, fitted all the fusebox, radiator, front assembly, pcm etc.

Got it running and the clutch isn't damaged that i can tell, i had reset all the values in ids so I'll have to run it to see if it quietens down much.

Just need to finish the inner wing sections and then fit the bonnet and bumper and lights etc.
For now tho it is on the road driving as boss man requested.

Not far too go.

I'll have to polish up the mk7 and sell that 1 then.

Airbag kits on eBay range from 399 to 899 i saw an airbag on its own for 250, then a Lithuania 1 for 140.

Just bought a uk 1 was listed for 110 but i offered 100(as you do) and I've won it and bought it
Drivers seatbelt, 80 quid but again i offered 70 and won it.

I like this bartering malarky
