Hi guys as i mention before i had problem with hids4u and we could not find cause and at one point van was at dealer because headlights did not want to power up.Playing with harness from hids4u and still no luck no luck. But when i got different balasts from morimoto hid no problem. Obviously you still can not use auto headlights unless your car is running but that is to do with battery. My was working while battery was new now after year and half it gives me warrning if i start van first time in morning with auto lights on.But there is another option if you do not like HID you can get LEDs from them https://www.theretrofitsource.com/led-l ... troke.html.

I seriously doubt that they will provide a decent beam.

I've heard that their hids are good, but to date I haven't seen a good review of led H7 in projector or reflector headlights. Led can't produce the correct output pattern to work and probably never will.

That is good point. As far as im aware they trying to make LED projector but lets see what sort of output it gives.

A bit OT (and I may be dumb) but the headlights in high spec (the projector ones?), do they have separate bulbs and sockets for high and low beam?

My manual say low beam H7 and high beam H15.

Finding a bulb for upgrading the high beam seems impossible?

Yes, seperate bulbs, there isn't a worthwhile H15 upgrade bulb.

The next thing I searched for was hid for the h15 socket.

I found a few here and there but are there any safe options?

Hids4u didn't have for the h15 socket.

Isn't the high beam h15 a 2 stage filament bulb... I really want to find an alternative as it's used as DRL on the transit and then steps up to both filaments when full beam is needed. There is nothing to replace this as yet is there?

This has been discussed at length a few times. The 15w is only on when the light switch is in the off position, as soon as you turn on the lights it goes off, so both filaments are never on together (unless you flash the lights?).

The led replacement is a waste of time and has also been discussed at length here.

If you can survive the duration of the hids I think that's the way to go.
