Camping at Santa Pod

Postby paulrichardson » Fri Aug 18, 2017 5:50 pm

Hi Guys,

I've never been to Transitmania before (sorry), but our camper conversion is (more or less) finished, so we might give it a try this year (if I can convince my darling wife).

I've a couple of questions regarding camping (I realise Santa Pod is a new venue this year).

Do we Transit owners camp together, or is it just a free for all with the rest of the Drag racing attendees?

Does anyone know how good the facilities for camping are? (I've already read that here are no hook ups).

Roughly how many Transits are likely to be in attendance ( 10, 100 or 1,000)

Regards,

Paul

Anyone driving anything can camp together, but obviously, the main "show" is only for Transits 8)

There is showers, they are right next to the Transitmaina field by the toilet block. Tickets are currently on offer till the end of the month

There is plenty of catering units and bars as well. Two music areas for evening entertainment, monster truck shows, Doorslammers drag racing and if you come on the Friday you can take your van down the strip!

Excellent thanks. I will book within next few days just waiting for another mate to decide. We was thinking of booking for the full 3 days as seems a good price at £28
